Does the filter cartridge get rid of fluoride?

Mineral substances containing fluoride are not included in the substances the filter removes.

Can I use it the system to filter hot water?

If hot water passes through the filter, it may dislodge impurities that have attached to the cartridge during the filtration process. Therefore, it should only be used with cold water.

What is the difference between the standard cartridge and the Premium cartridge?

The Standard type removes four types of impurities and the Premium type removes 12 types of impurities, including substances such as trihalomethane.

How do I install the cartridge?

How much do the replacement cartridges cost?

There are two options to choose from. The Premium cartridge filters 12 major substances and costs $49.50 (inclusive of GST and delivery). The Standard cartridge filters 4 major substances and costs $44.00 (inclusive of GST and delivery). Taqua tap filter cartridges are not currently available as a one-off purchase – instead they are sent every 3 to 4 months via postal delivery to Taqua users. How does the filter cartridge delivery service work?

Taqua tap filter cartridges need to be replaced after around 4 months of use, so your system can perform optimally and you can keep on enjoying delicious filtered water. After signing up for Taqua’s regular cartridge replacement delivery service, we’ll send you a new cartridge of your choice (Premium or Standard) every 3 to 4 months (you choose the time-frame based upon your usage). There’s no lock-in contract and having cartridges delivered to you regularly means that you don’t have to remember the replacement date each time.

How do I cancel the regular delivery service?

If you are using PayPal, please log in your PayPal account. This is where you find the option to cancel your automatic replacement subscription. (1. Click 'Settings' near the top of the page, 2. Click 'Payments', 3. Click 'Manage pre-approved payments')

Where can I buy the cartridges?

The cartridges are only available for purchase online. We deliver cartridges manufactured at our own factory to your home, without any 3rd party resellers in between. Click here to purchase.

How often should I change the cartridge?

We recommend changing it about every four months, or every two to three months for heavy use or in areas with poor water quality.

How do I update my debit/credit card details?

If you are using PayPal, please log in your PayPal account. This is where you find the option to update your card details. (1. Click 'Settings' near the top of the page, 2. Click ‘Manage automatic payments’ under "Automatic payments", 3. Click 'Takagi' (=name of the merchant for the agreement you want to change), 4. Under "Payment method," click ‘Change’ next to the funding source you're looking to change) PLEASE NOTE: You have to update your card details as described above. If you only update your general card details in PayPal, it might not affect existing Automatic Payments.

How should the tap be installed in my kitchen?

Where can I find my tap's lot number or manufacture number?

On the silver sticker fixed to the base of your tap where it meets the sink.

Does the Taqua tap include a filter cartridge?

Yes, it comes with a complimentary filter cartridge included, so there’s no need to purchase one for the initial setup.

Warranty, Maintenance, Troubleshooting

I have paid for my cartridge, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Please note that regular delivery can take between 1-2 weeks. Feel free to email us directly and we will investigate further if needed.

Part of my product is broken.

Please contact us with the detail of your concern. If possible, please also send some images of the broken part(s) to us.

How can I detach the filter section of the tap from the flexible hose?

Pull the filter section of the tap out and twist the joint where it connects to the flexible hose. Please refer to your product manual for further information.

My tap is leaking water.

Please email us directly and attach a photo showing the leak. If the leak is serious, please turn off the water at the shut-off valve under your sink, if accessible.

What's the warranty on the Taqua tap?

In addition to the initial 2 years warranty, you can extend your warranty period to 5 years for free when registering your Taqua Built-in filtration tap through our website. Please see here for more details.
